The Need for Prayer

No doubt many of you have been praying during this long election season. No doubt heaven heard a collective “Amen”, followed by a sigh as the poles closed. Not because of the results, but simply because it’s “over’.
The election may be over, but the need for prayer is most certainly not. If the election went the way you hoped it would, praise God, and ask Him to continue to bless this Nation and all it’s leaders. If it did not go the way you hoped, I suggest that you as God to continue to bless the Nation, and all it’s leaders. If like most of us, some of it went “well” and some did not – ask God to bless the Nation and all it’s leaders. Are you seeing a pattern here?
Peter told us to submit to the king (1Ptr 2:13), it was not because the king was a great guy and had the best interest of Israel at heart (he didn’t). It was because our lives are directly affected by the place we live. When the Nation does well – we all do well. Not to mention that Proverbs 21:1 says: The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD; he turns it wherever he will. He will move the hearts of our leaders in response to your prayers. If you like all our leaders – pray for them. If you do not like all of them – pray harder.
Frankly, it is the only way America will be great.
