“In an insane world, the sane man must appear insane.”                                 Spock

No doubt about it, this world has gone crazy.  We call wrong right and right wrong.  We celebrate things we should be ashamed.  If you think it is bad now – just you wait.  It will get worse.

So, what are we (Christians) supposed to do?

First and foremost, keep our eyes fixed on Jesus.  If, as the Bible says; “He is the author and finisher of our faith.”  (Heb 12:2) and if all our days were written down before a single one happened (Ps 139:16), then we do well when we follow Him.

It guarantees nothing.  Bad things will still happen to ourselves and the ones we love.  It does mean that He knows it will happen, He is ready for it to happen, and He has a plan to get us through once it happens.  He is willing to show us what to do if we will watch Him.  We will not only have the knowledge to do what is necessary, we will also have the strength to do it.  No matter what anyone else does or says we should do.

It also means we will draw attention.  Some (possibly most) will ridicule us and call us all manner of insulting names.  Others (Christians) will be encouraged to do what they knew they are supposed to do, knowing they are not alone.  A few may see your actions and sincerely ask you why you do it.  When they do – point them to Jesus.
